What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?

AYDO 2 yrs, AYSE 2 yrs, AYCO 1 yr, AYSO 2 yrs, AYP 1 yr

Your advice for young musicians?

To gain true progress in your skill, practice consistently everyday ... otherwise you'll regret it at the end of every week ;)

What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?

University of California, Irvine. Computer Science and Cognitive Science

A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?

One of my favorite AYPO experiences was being able to practice at the Kennedy Center with NSO.

What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?

Would like to work with applications of the integration of cognitive science + artificial intelligence to gain insight into the nature of the human mind.

What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?

Rimsky-Korsakov because his music is amazing and breathtaking. Playing the final movement of Scheherazade (in AYSO) was one of the most enjoyable moments of my violin career.

Any additional memories or thoughts that you would like to share?

AYPO has been a huge part of my life for the past 8 years and I've been able to experience and learn so much about music and being part of wonderful orchestras. I made wonderful friends, played amazing pieces and performed at beautiful locations. I'll always cherish the memories that I made. I'm very thankful to AYPO for giving me this opportunity. I'm also thankful to all the conductors, volunteers, and staff who put in so much energy and care in to teaching us and helping us grow as musicians. I've always felt like they truly cared and were always there for help whenever I needed it.
