What is your current AYPO ensemble?

AYP & Music Buddies Mentor

What AYPO ensembles have you played in and for how long?

AYP in 2022-2023, AYSO 2020-2022, AYCO 2018-2020, AYSE 2017-2019, AYDO 2016-2017, Music Buddies 2020-2023

Your advice for young musicians?

My advice would be to keep setting goals for yourself in order to encourage progression. I always had a piece that I dreamed of playing; it encouraged me to work harder and learn the techniques needed to play the piece. It also kept me listening to new music and artists.

What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?

The College of William & Mary, International Relations and Economics.

A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?

My favorite memories are from the Music Buddies Concerts. I'm always so nervous for my mentee to perform even though I'm not even the one that's going on stage. It is nice to see all the kids hard work pay off and how much they have improved from the beginning of the year. It really made me feel like I made a difference.

What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?

In college, I hope to learn more languages like Spanish or Japanese. After college, I would love to work for the Foreign Service as a diplomat.

What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?

Joshua Bell inspires me because he is always so passionate whenever he plays.

Any additional memories or thoughts you would like to share?

Thank you to all the staff members, coaches, and conductors who made this experience possible.
