AYDO, AYSE, AYCO, AYSO, AYP, and Chamber Ensemble for a total of 8 years.
Your advice for young musicians?
Try to avoid being overly self-critical; it's an easy habit to develop and doesn't help in the long run.
What college/university do you plan on attending this fall?
University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music - Viola Performance.
A favorite, or memorable AYPO experience?
I once spent most of a sectionals rehearsal distracting everyone by talking about how sad the betta fish in the classroom looked. My friend wrote a note to the teacher telling her that she needed a bigger fish tank, and the teacher actually wrote back. Sadly, I don't think the fish made it much longer because it disappeared from the classroom before the end of the season.
What do you hope to do after graduation or your more long-term goals?
I would love to play in a professional orchestra.
What musician, conductor, or orchestra inspires you and why?
Tsuna Sakamoto! She's incredibly insightful and always has a story or analogy to accompany whatever advice she's giving.
